The National Football League has suspended San Francisco 49ers principal owner Jed York for six games and issued a $500,000 fine for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. This discipline follows York’s no-contest plea to a disorderly conduct charge in August 2026, which stemmed from earlier misdemeanor allegations.
York has already served three games while staying away from the team during the league’s investigation. Regarding the penalty, York stated: "This was an inexcusable mistake and I take full responsibility." He must serve the remaining three games of his suspension before he is eligible to return to the organization on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026.
