CIBC Caribbean is hosting its annual Walk for the Cure across The Bahamas every Saturday in October 2026. These community events take place in New Providence, Abaco, Eleuthera, and Grand Bahama to raise awareness and critical funding for eight cancer support organizations that assist patients and survivors across the country.
CIBC Caribbean covers all staging costs, ensuring that every donation directly supports patient services like food aid, financial assistance, and prosthetic supplies. CIBC Caribbean Head of Country Terrance Gibson stated, “Each Saturday in October represents another community coming together,” emphasizing the collective effort to aid those navigating diagnoses. The initiative also includes wellness activities and survivor ceremonies, with corporate sponsors like Bamboo Shack providing additional support to help these groups serve patients and survivors directly.
Participants can register at any CIBC Caribbean branch for $30 for adults or $15 for children, while clients may also donate via online banking. The series begins on October 3 at the Goodman’s Bay Corporate Centre in New Providence at 6:30am. Subsequent walks follow in Grand Bahama on October 10, Abaco on October 17, and Eleuthera on October 24.
