Dr. Kenneth Romer, the Director of Aviation and Deputy Director General of Tourism for The Bahamas, received the 2025-2026 Infrastructure Leadership MVP Award at the 10th Annual Caribbean Infrastructure Forum in Miami. Held on September 15-16, 2026, this honor recognizes Romer as the first Bahamian to achieve this distinction.
Selected by an independent jury, Romer was honored for his visionary leadership, specifically his work on the Family Islands Renaissance initiative. This program focuses on modernizing 19 runways and terminals to improve regional connectivity and safety. Minister of Energy, Utilities and Aviation JoBeth Coleby-Davis attended the ceremony, noting that the award highlights the government’s commitment to executing a vision that sets the benchmark for infrastructural investments across the archipelago.
