Beaches Turks and Caicos opened a purpose-built Team Member Welcome Center on Monday, June 29, giving its more than 2,400 employees a dedicated hub for dining, HR services and breaks. Management billed it as a major investment in staff well-being at the Grace Bay resort.

The facility houses Human Resources and Learning & Development offices, modern locker rooms and a 400-seat air-conditioned dining area with an expanded menu including vegan options and smoothies on Wednesdays. Regional Managing Director James McAnally said years of planning were needed because staff facilities had become scattered as the resort expanded, and called the name fitting: "It's our commitment to welcome team members every day into a space they're proud of." Executive Assistant Manager Tanya Swann dubbed it "a massive milestone," and General Manager Deryk Meany told employees, "This is your home away from home." Long-serving Assistant Bar Manager Pauline Brooks, at the resort since 1997, said the upgrade has been welcomed across the team.

More is planned: an ATM and MoneyGram services are to be introduced so staff can handle financial transactions on site, and McAnally said the opening marks "Beaches 2.0," with further improvements coming under the resort's employee development strategy.
