Meanwhile, the Islander Status Commission has been given another two-month extension to review applications, with a new deadline of February 28. This delay aims to ensure thorough and fair processing of applications, amid concerns over arbitrary citizenship grants.

The Turks and Caicos Islands have won the Best Destination award for the fourth consecutive year, with over 135,000 readers voting in the Recommend Magazine Readers' Choice Awards. Paul Pennicook, Interim CEO Consultant of Experience Turks and Caicos, says this honour reflects the territory's commitment to excellence and quality tourism experiences. As the year comes to a close, the community is coming together to support each other, with events like the South Caicos Heritage Foundation annual Santa Distribution, which brought joy to children across local schools. The Turks and Caicos Islands continue to move forward, with a focus on community, tourism, and economic development, and the future looks bright for this beautiful island nation.
